Boston — DMSE Sports and lululemon are ramping up for lululemon’s first U.S.-based 10K road race this Sunday, November 10. Host city San Diego will provide idyllic views to the participants of the inaugural lululemon San Diego 10K as they run along the Port of San Diego, beginning in Shoreline Park on Shelter Island, and finishing on the opposite side of North San Diego Bay in Waterfront Park.
This is the third 10K road race where athletic wear brand lululemon has served as title sponsor; Edmonton in Alberta, Canada (in its second year) and Toronto in Ontario, Canada (in its third year). Both races brought in over 17,000 participants in 2019.
Participants of the first-ever lululemon San Diego 10K will have the opportunity to explore their “Run Purpose”— a partnership between running and mindfulness—during an evening event on Friday, November 8. Following the Sunday race, lululemon Global Yoga Ambassador Ally Maz will lead runners through two options for a 30-minute yoga session in Waterfront Park to help jump-start their recovery.
Since its founding nearly 40 years ago, DMSE Sports has helped hundreds of thousands of participants reach their athletic goals and has aided in building the connection between running and philanthropy.
“DMSE Sports is really excited to bring this unique race to San Diego,” said DMSE Senior Vice President of Operations, and Race Director for the event, Matthew West. “The lululemon San Diego 10K will be like no other race in the United States. lululemon is the perfect partner for DMSE Sports to deliver this amazing experience.”
More than 5,000 participants from 41 states and six Canadian provinces will toe the start line on Sunday.
