BOSTON, MA – Dave McGillivray, race director of the B.A.A. Boston Marathon and President of DMSE Sports, recently wrote an illustrated children’s book called Dream Big, which chronicles his first two attempts at running the Boston Marathon. It is also a story of rejection and determination and gives much-needed advice to children to believe in themselves and to never underestimate their own ability. At the conclusion of the book, McGillivray challenges all the readers to participate in their own marathon by running a total of 26 miles, reading 26 books, and doing 26 acts of kindness.
