CONSULTANT PAY, EXPLAINED
Paid consultants must be at least 16 years of age.
Daily rate:
The daily rate is for a day’s work. It is not an hourly rate. There will be days when the workday is less than 8 hours, and there will be days over 8 hours. The daily rate will stay the same regardless, with the following exceptions:
If a workday is expected to be 4 – 5 hours or less, the daily rate may be half. Effected consultants will be notified of this prior to working.
If the workday is over 10 hours additional pay will be paid for the day. Amount to be determined based on total hours worked. Consultants will be notified prior to an event if any days are expected to be longer than 10 hours.
If a consultant is asked to work additional time on a task over and above the normal event workday (ex. drive trucks, unload trucks after an event, return trucks after an event, etc.), whether or not this additional work results in total hours for the day being over or under 8 hours, there will be additional pay. The amount to be determined based on the time required to complete the task.
Age 16 – 17 - $125/day
Age 18 – 20 - $175/day
Age 21 + - $200/day
Once at the $200/day level:
$225 per day starting with the 101st event (not days) worked
$250 per day starting with the 201st event (not days) worked
Baseline pay will be determined by consultant estimate on number of events worked as of February 1, 2018. Each event worked from that day forward will be added to a running tally and pay will be adjusted accordingly as consultants reach pay threshholds.
Lead Consultants
Requires a job description defining the role.
If designated a lead for an event, an additional $25 per day will be added to daily rate.
A lead is not asked to do any additional work prior to the event with the exception of a possible phone call with the event manager or venue manager to review role, and a possible review of equipment list(s) and layout map(s).
Venue Manager
Requires a job description defining the role.
Pay reviewed and determined based on job description and estimated time needed to accomplish responsibilities pre-event, event weekend, and post event. Pay will be by event and vary event to event. Pay to be agreed to prior to assuming role.
Senior Event Manager:
Pay reviewed and determined based on event, overall responsibilities and estimated time required to accomplish responsibilities pre-event, event weekend, and post event. Pay will be by event and vary event to event. Pay to be agreed to prior to assuming role.
RADIO ETIQUETTE
Radios are our primary means of communicating during an event. Review the Dos and Don’ts to the left to ensure we all use the radios in an organized and appropriate manner.
